Google Home Max wont link after factory reset.

I was having a couple of issue with my device. It was not mentioning who was ringing the nest doorbell and not recognising some of the homes users that it had been previously.

So I thought ok I will reset it and set it up from scratch. So i did that by using the method of holding the two volume buttons. I didnt delete the device from the Home. And now that has proven to be a nightmare as it wont link to my home anymore.

After mutliple times of resetting it its saying it was owned by someone else and get them to unlink it. But it is owned by me and any instances of the device showing in the app i have deleted.

How can i fix it. Its very frustrating.

Hey Zillad,

Thanks for visiting the community. I understand the feeling when you're having issues setting up your Google Nest Hub Max. A few questions: how many accounts are linked on the Google Home app? Do you have multiple home structures?

Please go to "Devices" on your Gmail account and check if you will see your Nest Hub Max. If yes, tap the three dots then "Remove" to delete the device.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
