Google Home Mini Screen Burn

DeMunn

Very frustrating... my Google Home Mini seems to have got some sort of screen burn. (wont let me upload a photo here, but I have seen other posts in the community with exactly the same issue, and exactly the same screen burn shape and effect... like exactly the same... see below link.

https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Home-Automation/Google-Nest-Hub-screen-has-burn-in-ghosting-e...

Has anyone solved this, as seems like Google are just wiping their hands and leaning on the "out of warranty" argument... but there is clearly a repeatable issue happening across devices which demonstrates a quality issue that is being avoided.

Tried all the reset / default solves etc... but its clearly a defect.

Hi DeMunn,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry that you're having troubles with your Google Nest Mini that shows a screen burn. I understand how frustrating this can be. Let's work together for a solution.

Before I begin. I need to ask a few questions for further assistance:

  • What are the troubleshooting steps you've already tried?
  • When did the behavior start?
  • Was the device dropped or knocked over?
  • Is the display still working?
  • Is the display's assistant working?
  • What's the Fuchsia version of your display? Here is the article to Check the software version for the Nets Hub.

Please keep me posted. I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Byron
