Google Home Smart Assistant not recognizing simple commands anymore

Hi my first generation of Google home  assistant suddenly acting weird started two days ago. In the past, if I say "OK Google wake me up at 7:00 a.m." it would recognize my command and execute, but now it would say "Sorry, I don't understand". Any idea why? Thanks!

I would try rebooting your device to see if that helps and please send feedback if you continue to have that issue. Just tell the Assistant to "share feedback" and record your message.
