I used to use Spotify and this was less of an issue. But spotify has stopped working with my voice commands in Android Auto and Google Home (hmmm) so I switched to youtube music. Here is a common interaction:
"Hey Google, play the bubble guppies theme song"
"Ok, playing Bubble Guppies, music for kids, 2 hour marathon, sped up, nick jr. theme songs for kids, playing on the soundbar"
"No, google, Play the Original Bubble Guppies theme song"
"Ok, playing blah blah blah something else"
"Hey google, play "Bubble Guppies Theme Song by the artist "Bubble Guppies Cast""
"Plays something else entirely"
How do I get these darn things to just do what I say. I am as specific as I can be (Not that I should have to be! Why in the world would it default to these weird remixes?!) and even that doesn't work.
I've cleared cache and data in the Home app plenty of times. I've factory reset all my speakers. Please don't suggest those steps.

I have several models. I have 3 Google Homes, 2 Google Nest Audios and 3 Google Home Minis.
It's hard to identify when the issue started. It has basically always been an issue to one degree or another. The issue occurs both with Youtube Music and premium set as the music service. It feels like it has gotten much worse with Youtube Music lately probably because it is so easy for content creators to mash keywords into things like kid's songs.
You asking for error code really concerns me. Why would it report an error? It's just picking strange versions of songs. Anyway, no, there is nothing in the error log.
I've tried asking for particular songs as many ways as I can. "Hey Google, play the official bubble guppies theme song" or "hey google play the bubble guppies theme song by the bubble guppies cast". Other examples are asking for popular beetles songs but getting electronic remixes instead, no matter how hard I insist I want the "original" or "by the beetles".
Nothing is restricted.
The correct service is chosen (and I have tried the paid version of both Spotify and YTM).
The correct account is selected in both apps.
