Google Home won't connect

My Google home won't connect to the wifi so I am trying to set it up again. It has worked I. the past but now it won't connect even when I go through all the steps on the Help Center. I have the speaker next to my phone and it says to make sure it's nearby still. How do I connect it?

I’m having the same issue.  We had a power outage yesterday and I can’t connect Nest.  Tried unplugging it, but that didn’t work.  It says to hit restart in Wi-Fi, but don’t have that option.  Hope someone else has answers for us!

I am having the same issue as well. Mine is stuck on connected screen. It was stuck on the gray Google logo screen before.

Yes please! google home won't connect and no devices. whole home on hold since 115am this morning. how can i speak to someone for help? am i going to be charged?

Hey MaSte,

 

Sorry to hear that you're having connectivity issue on your Google Home/Nest device. A few questions: did you change any settings on your router? Are there other devices working on the same network?

 

You can try the steps below, or you can also contact us by filling out this form.

 

  1. Move your Google Home/Nest device within 15-20 ft. away from the router to get enough signal from your network.
  2. Reboot your Google Home/Nest device and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.
