Google Hub Display does not understand me

Hello from Germany. I have three Google Hubs - one older device with SW Version  40.15.3 which is working fine and two newer devices with SW Version 45.1.6. which most of the time do not understand me. All devices are connected to the same account.  E.G. asking for a pizza recipe SW version 40 shows recipes whereas both SW Version 45 devices tell me that they did not understand. What am I doing wrong ? Thanks for your help
