Hello Asscaron,

Thanks for reaching out — let me help.

A few questions: are you using a home private network? Are you getting any message when your Google Home Max disconnects from your network? Also, how frequently it disconnects?

Give these steps a try:

  1. Make sure your Home Max is within 15 feet of your Wi-Fi router.
  2. Reboot your speaker and router to refresh the connection.
  3. Check router settings. (AP isolation must be disabled and UPnP must be enabled).
  4. Reset your Home Max.
  5. If the issue persists, use a mobile hotspot to set up your devices (To isolate the issue).

Hope this helps.

Best,

Alex

Hey Asscaron,

Thanks for the update. To confirm, have you tried moving your device near the main router? Also, Could you tell us when and where you purchased it?

Cheers,

Muddi

Hi Muddi. I bought my Max at Media Markt Germany over 2 years ago. The distance to my main Router is exactly 5m behind a Wall. I guess that should be ok though.?! May be you have other information. thx

Hey Asscaron,

Got it! Let's try to lessen the distance between the main router and your Google Home Max to 5 ft. This will help us further isolate the issue. Also, are you using a dual-band router? If yes, could you try setting up your device to a different band to see if it will have the same behavior.

Keep us posted.

Cheers,

Muddi

Yes, the same problem as always. i changed the chanel and reduced the distance between the main Router and the speaker. But I did that by using a repeater.  Otherwise the Speaker is in another room where i don't want it.

Hi Muddi. I guess i got it. I changed my Repeater in the kitchen and, what should I say, the wlan is now stabile. The Max Speaker do not loose his wlan anymore. I think we fixed it. Thx Muddi for your help and thx too to the community.
