Google Neat Audio won’t turn on

Like many it seems my Google Nest Audio won’t turn on. 
have followed all of the standard trouble shooting steps , try to reset , check outlet , check power supply. 
no joy , are these just dud units ?

• When did the issue first occur?
• Have you plugged the speaker directly into a wall outlet or a surge protector?
• When you plug the speaker into another power outlet, does it show any LED lights indicating that it has power?
• Are other devices able to receive power from the same outlet?
• Are you using the official power adapter that came with the Nest Audio?
• Did this happen after any events like lightning storms, power outages, or power surges?

For now, if you have a second Nest Audio, another step to try would be testing the power adapter from the working device on this one.

hi. All trouble shooting has been followed , house is protected at the fuse board for anti surge.

• 4 days ago
• Have you plugged the speaker directly into a wall outlet or a surge protector?
• plugged into the wall socket , entire house is protected at the fuse board by surge protection
• When you plug the speaker into another power outlet, does it show any LED lights indicating that it has power?
• there are no lights showing when plugged into any outlet
• Are other devices able to receive power from the same outlet?
• yes , ring main is currently working 
• Are you using the official power adapter that came with the Nest Audio?
• yes, this has been checked and is producing 23.8vdc
• Did this happen after any events like lightning storms, power outages, or power surges?
• no

Thanks for your reply and the detailed information you shared.

Given that the speaker isn't showing any lights, attempt to discharge the Nest Audio by following these steps:

• Unplug the power adapter from the outlet and the speaker.
• Leave it unplugged for 20 seconds.
• Plug the power adapter into the speaker.
• Plug the other end of the power adapter into a wall outlet that works.
• Check if any LED lights would appear on the speaker.
