Google Nest Audio give error, "Something went wrong, try again in a few seconds."

This is making this device nearly useless. I use it as an alarm clock and trying to snooze or turn off an alarm I get the error message, sometimes over and over. Network is fine I'm in the closest room to the router nothing is blocking it it can understand me perfectly it just keeps giving this error.
