Google Nest Audio not powering ON

SAN5
Community Member

I bought 2 Nest Audio devices in 2021 and some time back one of them stopped working and do not turn ON again. Means there is NO light or sound when I plug it in. Since the other one is working I tried to use the power cable from that and still do not work. I tried all methods available in below thread and still no luck. Since there is no light turning ON there is no method or step mentioned anywhere on what to do next. Support please.

Hi SAN5,

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I understand that one of your Nest Audio devices suddenly stopped turning on, and even after you tried using a different power cable, it remains without any lights. I appreciate you taking the time to search for information on how to solve this issue. No worries, I can definitely assist you with the best next steps!

To continue investigating this situation, I'd like to confirm the following details:

  • Is the speaker plugged directly into a wall outlet or surge protector?
  • Are other devices able to receive power from the same outlet?
  • Was there any type of electrical outage around the time the issue began?
  • Can you recall any other unusual behavior from the Nest Audio prior to it failing?
  • Could you please confirm whether you filled out the form properly? This will help us locate any open cases.

In the meantime, I’d suggest the following steps:

  • Plug the speaker into a different wall outlet.
  • Discharge the speaker:
    • Unplug the power adapter from both the outlet and the speaker.
    • Leave it unplugged for 20 seconds.
    • Plug the power adapter back into the speaker.
    • Plug the other end of the power adapter into a wall outlet that you know works.
    • Check if any LED lights appear on the speaker.

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
