Google Nest Audio not sending notifications to my phone

Basically what the title says. When I ask what´s the weather like, and then request google to send it to my phone, Google says that it has sent it, but I can´t see it nor in Google Home App, nor in my phone. I tried everything, even settings in my phone but nothing helps. Can you recommend me something to do with this issue please?

Hi, sorry for not replying. I tried with the last method, but unfortunately, I got stuck in the step 3, 7th line. I have an Android phone, and I can´t see that part in my Google Home app.

Just to clarify, are you referring to the steps to receive a notification or the section that mentions "Fix a problem"?

Hi, I´m referring to the steps to receive a notification to my phone. 

Step 3. Turn on notifications

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app .
  3. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  4. At the top right corner, tap Settings   Recognition & sharing  Recognition & personalization.
  5. To turn on notifications, first turn on Allow personal results.
  6. Scroll down, then choose how you want your personal results to appear.
  7. To turn on notifications, tap Always show proactively. If you want to turn off notifications, tap Never show proactively.

I have problem with the red part of it, since, It´s not shown in my Google Home App, even when I have an Android phone, and I have the latest update of the app. Sincerely, Thomas

I appreciate the information. Could you tell us the current firmware version of the Google Home app installed on your phone? Also, what is the make and model of your phone?

Hi, sorry for not responding. I unfortunately don't know where to find firmware, I only know version. It's 3.3.1.4.

My phone model is Samsung Galaxy S20. Sincerely, Thomas

Hi there,

 

It's okay, no worries. Just make sure that your Home app is updated to its latest version.

 

Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store app Play Store.
  2. Tap Menu Menu and then My apps & games.
  3. Find the Google Home app.
  4. Tap Update.

 

iOS

  1. Go to the App Store .
  2. At the bottom right of the screen, tap Search.
  3. Tap your account.
  4. Find the Google Home app.
  5. Tap Update.

Let us know if you notice any changes after some update.

I'll try it, thank you 😊 I have noticed another bug: When I asked Google to tell me something about Spain, or Russia, it didn't answear

I just wanted to follow up if you were able to try the steps provided. Please let us know, as we would be happy to answer any questions you may have. On the Spain and Russia part we tested our devices and it worked just fine. Try rebooting your Nest Audio and observe if it will make a difference.

Hi, I tried to reboot it, but it didn´t help nor with the notifications, nor with the question about some countries. Are there any settings, which could interrupt it´s answear to me?

Hi there,

 

Let’s give this a try:

 

  • Open the Google app.
  • Tap your profile at the top right > Settings > Google Assistant > Scroll down and look for Notifications.
  • Under Phone, check if all the options listed have “Answers to questions” and “Direct Links to Settings” enabled. Toggle the button off and on to refresh the settings. 
  • Restart your phone and Google Nest Audio.
  • Give it a test command.

Hi, I couldn´t see under "Phone" bar listed options, and I think it´s because I have the app in Slovak, and not in the English. Is there any possibility to change the app language without changing the language of my whole phone?

Hey t_nerpas,

 

Changing the language is done in the phone's Settings. I don’t think there's any other option to do that. You can change the language to English in the meantime and check those settings above. You can then put it back in Slovakia. Or if you have a spare phone or tablet that is signed in to the same email as your phone and Google Nest Audio, you can use that.
