Google Nest Audio stuttering

rmarquez

I have 4 google nest audio and 2 minis in my home, when I create a group with all of them, I can't play anything without issues.

I'm using a mesh router and have no network issues, since I can play all speakers individually, but when I try to play in all of them, it stutters all the time.

I'm using all speakers as pairs (so, 3 pairs) and when I add more than 2 pairs in a group, it just stutters.

Can you help me here? I'm already losing confidence in Google devices.

I have nest wifi and a point and two displays and 2 minis i can have them all in one speaker group fine. I would think maybe its a problem with one of them or some setting. Have you tried to reset everything? I am just a customer like you so I dont really know what im talking up just guessing at what I would try

I already tried it.

In any config, paired or not, sometimes it stutters for no reason.

Another annoying thing is when one of the speakers is removed from power, all the others stop playing...

Hi folks,

Thanks for the help here, Alyoop25.

Rmarquez, thanks for reaching out. When did it begin? What is the make and model of your router? How far are the speakers from the router? Also, do you have the same issue when casting music for your speaker group?

Try setting up at least 2–3 speakers on a different network, like a mobile hotspot, to further isolate the issue. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one to serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your speakers). Once done, check if your speakers will have the same behavior.

Regards,

Juni

Yes, next step is to split the 2.4 and 5 ghz networks from my routers and set all speakers using the 2.4 ghz

Hello rmarquez,

Thanks for the update. Let us know the result once you're done separating the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hi Juni, thanks for your reply.

I'm using a Intelbras twibi giga+ mesh router, but it was happening using it directly in the modem when you open the google home app in the mobile, the speakers slightly stutters even when I just had one speaker. Something that I notice, is that it changes the speakers to 5 ghz instead of using a 2.4 GHz (more stable, more range, IOT devices don't need speed ).

Looks like they need more bandwidth than other speakers to play. My internet is 300 Mbps and is very stable
