Hub looses connection to nest door camera

I can view the door cam for a few minutes but after a while the connection to the nest door cam drops and when someone rings the front door bell the Google home max does not re-open the camera feed to the front door so we can’t see who is at the front door? Another Google speaker tells me their is someone at the front door..

Also having this problem. And as a side note I have not found a way to get alerts from my nest cameras to pop up on the displays which I would think would be an obvious feature.

We have the best hub and ours times out consistently and we have to unplug it to get it restarted. It’s a Pain️, I would live some help too👍

Hi folks,

@jsolomonza, @Delifis, @RosenFlorida, this is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: aside from the mentioned Nest Hub, which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? Also, to know what steps to take, do you have a wired Nest Doorbell or a battery powered doorbell?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Once done, replicate the issue and see if it persists.

Keep me posted

Best,

Dan

I had done all of that prior but nothing had worked.  I have a Google Nest Hub 2nd Gen, We just had this installed about a month ago..

We do not use this HUB for anything else but the Security Cameras.

Thank you for your Quick Response Dan

Hey RosenFlorida,

We appreciate your efforts. To confirm, have you tried resetting your Nest Hub (2nd gen)? If not, please reset your device by pressing and holding both volume buttons together, at the back of the Nest display, for about 10 seconds. You'll hear your Google Assistant confirm that it's resetting the Nest Hub (2nd gen). Once done, check if your device will have the same behavior. Please note that resetting your device will clear all the settings and you have to set it up again.

Keep us posted.

Cheers,

Muddi
