Google Nest Hub 2 will not search for recipes

Just bought my Nest Hub and wanted to use it for recipes, I am well aware that the cookbook has been removed so I just want it to search the internet.

Everytime I ask for to find a recipe in Danish she says "Sorry I didn't understand" (in Danish ofcause) if I ask her in English she says she will show a recipe but nothing happens.

It especially seems stupid when in the find tab of the Nest there is a "I want to make brownies" button but it doesn't do anything

Currently, accessing or managing your cookbook, transferring recipes, playing a recipe video, or showing step-by-step cooking instructions is not available. We're always looking for ways to improve and appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue improving our products to meet your needs.

In the meantime, you can try this workaround:

• Use Google Assistant: With this option, you can search the web and YouTube for recipes.

Hello Melany.

My current problem is that the nest refuses to search the web for recipes.

If I ask in my native language (danish) it says that it didn't understand.

And if I ask in English it will say "Here is what I found" but not actually show anything.

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

• Have you tried searching for something other than recipes?
• When did the inconvenience start?
• When setting up the Nest Hub 2Gen did you check the language in the Google Home app and on your phone?

• Where and When did you get the device?

Please try the steps here:

• Reboot your device: A simple reboot can often resolve minor glitches. Follow these steps to reboot your Nest Hub 2Gen.
• Check language settings: Ensure both your Google Assistant and phone are set to English and Danish.

Is there a plan to bring the recipes back? I was considering buying another hub, but if your not bringing this feature back then there is no need for one in the kitchen..

I am experiencing the exact same issue. It started a couple of months ago.

Similar issue here in the UK. Nowadays just says “I don’t know, here’s what I found on search” and presents webpages of the same recipes that the hub used to be able to read through…

Unfortunately, the Nest Hub currently doesn't support reading recipes from website pages. Your feedback on this feature is valuable to us as it helps us prioritize future updates.
