Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) issues

Blake08

Hello,

My Google Nest Hub 2nd gen recently updated its software and has since had some bugs.

One of these is that when my morning alarm goes off, the alarm tone is not what it used to sound like. It sounds like the way it used to when previewed in alarm settings (tone is ‘gentle pastures’ for reference). Also when my alarm goes off, the screen does not turn on like it used to.

Another issue is when the screen turns off in low light mode, when the screen is tapped, the screen turns very bright (ambient EQ enabled) and goes out of low light mode, where it used to turn on to a dim brightness and in low light mode when the screen was tapped, before the update.

I have reset the device but the issues persist.

Thank you

- Blake

Hi, I have the same problems. Before Fuchsia it was ok 😞

Same issue here. It constantly cycles to full brightness, dim mode, and back. Resetting makes no difference.

Hey folks,

My apologies for the late response. I know how challenging it is when you're having issues with your Google Nest Hub (2nd gen). Let's try to get to the bottom of this.

A few questions:

  • What type of alarm do you have (Media, Character alarm)?
  • What is the current software firmware version of your Nest Hub (2nd gen)?
  • What is the Google Home app version on your phone?
  • What is the make and model of your phone?

To help us get a better picture of what's happening, do you mind sharing a video?

Looking forward to your response.

Cheers,

Muddi
