Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) responds only if we speak with a loud tone. Cheaper nest mini is 100times better than this costly nest hub.

Sensitivity is also at level.

The room is also quiet.

Not too far from device, just 1.5mtrs.

Done a factory reset and reconfigured as well.

Recently I had to deal with this too.  I was frusteratd and was swearing at the Hub.  I know…  Anyway I kept telling the Hub to up the volume and Ms host of the Hub kept telling me it was at its highest.  Make sure you do that in addition to the button onthe hub.  The button on my hub was probably pushed when my Maine Coon was playing around and pushed it off of the furniture.  Hope this helps T.

Hi nknprasad,

Thanks for posting in the community!

I'm so sorry to hear that your Nest Hub (2nd gen.) only responds to loud voice commands. Let's work on this together.

You mentioned checking the device's sensitivity. To confirm, did you follow the steps in the article "Adjust how sensitive Google Assistant is to 'Hey Google'?".

If you have more questions for me, feel free to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist further!

Best regards,

Nery.
