Google Nest Hub Max

Hello,

I purchased the Google Nest Hub Max for my parents this past Christmas b/c it was advertised to support Vietnamese as a 2nd language.  My parents do not speak English very well so this would have been a great feature for them.  When setting it up, I realized that even though one can select Vietnamese as a 2nd language, the Hub actually doesn't actually support it for voice commands or feedback.  I read some forums that states that support for Vietnamese was disabled some time ago.  Without voice commands, the Hub Max is kind of useless for a senior who doesn't speak English well.

Can you provide an update on when Vietnamese will be added back as a language that's supported?

While this may have worked before, the Vietnamese language isn't officially supported on Google Home ― our team is continuously working on adding more languages and we'll take this as feedback. If you have additional questions, feel free to submit another post and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand.
