Google Nest Hub problem with fritz!box 3272

Hello! 

I have a problem with my nest hub when connected on fritz!

9 times out of 10 he replies to my requests with "there was a problem, try again later".

On the other hand, if I use the phone as a hotspot or another router, the problem does not exist.

Do you know if there is any setting to do on the fritz? I only have problems with the nest hub

Sorry to hear about your experience on connecting your Google Nest Hub on your router. I'd be more than happy to help you out with this by answering these questions:

  • Is this your first time connecting the Google Nest Hub to your router? If no, are there any changes on your router/network settings before you experienced this?
  • How far is the Google Nest Hub from the router? 
  • Are there any other Google Home/Nest speakers connected on the same network?

Let's go ahead and check if your network have met these settings:

  • Check that your Google Home device is receiving power from a wall outlet. If your Google Home is receiving power, you will see a blinking white light on the back of the device.
  • Make sure that your Google Home device, wireless router, and device used to set up the Google Home (e.g. phone or tablet) are in close physical proximity to one another -- within 15 feet, if possible.
  • Please note: Networks that require you to connect through an authentication page (also called a "captive portal") are not supported by Google Home. This is typical of hotels, schools, dorms and businesses.

If these steps don’t solve the issue, you’ll need to factory reset your speaker or display, then set it up again.
