Google Nest Hub reminders are not working

skumad

Remiders in my Google Nest Hub is not working at all. When I tried to set a reminder in 5 mins, it's shown as setup correctly. But 5 minutes go by and I don't see any notifications or alerts on that device.

I tried unlinking, resetting it and setting it up again, but that didn't solve the issue.

Can anybody help me please? Thanks

Hi skumad,

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: were the reminders working before? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? When you mentioned a reset, was it the same steps as what you see in this link?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Tell me how it goes.

Best,

Dan

Thanks Dan & Princess for responding. Dan's response helped me to put me on the correct path. For anybody who's going to stumble on this thread in the future, finally I was able to get it working by connecting the device to a 2.4GHz wifi instead of 5GHz which I was using previously. (Not sure if this had any bearing on the issue, but I also used a different device name when I'm setting up this time as well)

Hi skumad,

Perfect! We're happy to hear that @Dan_A was able to help! It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread shortly unless I can help out with anything else.
