After 15 months of use, my Nest Hub showed the message "open Google Home app to setup device", as if it had reset itself. After running the setup process several times, I'm getting stuck at a screen saying "connected", or, after a reboot, "link account".
In the Home app, my account is linked to the Nest Hub, so I see no problem there.
I have tried (several times, in different orders):
- reboot of the Nest Hub (unplug power)
- factory reset of the Nest hub (volume buttons for 10 seconds)
- reboot of the WiFi router
- connecting hub and phone to another WiFi access point
- reboot my phone (android 11)
- run the setup process in Google Home on my iPad
All attempts without success.
A Google search brings up several similar cases, but no solutions...
When someone rings my (Nest Hello) doorbell, I still get the chime and message that someone is at my door (but no video). The chime is different then before (and different from the ones on my Nest Mini's).
Any advice, apart from sending it back to the shop for repairs?
