Google Nest Hub won't access Google Photos albums

Re-starting a locked-out thread (I was traveling during the response):

Hi,

I recently got a neat hub, and the only

photo option bailable is “recent highlights”. I have many albums in google photos which are visible on my phone and computer, but there is no option for me to add albums on the hub. I have the hub connected to google home and there is no option there either. How do I access albums?

A response was posted to the old thread to make a new album, but I have done that and the new album does not show up on the Nest Hub (no albums are available to be selected - the only option is recent highlights).

On the Home app, if you go to the nest hub and click it, do you see "Cast my Screen" & "Edit Photo Frame" options? 

If so, click Edit photo frame. You can then select the album(s) from your Google Photos you want rotated on the hub.

Lbateman, a few more questions: what country are you located in? Was it working before? Also, make sure your Google Home and Google Photos app are signed in using the same Google Account. Try setting up Live Albums:

 

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap the Nest display > Settings > Photo frame.
  3. Tap Google Photos > Select a photo album.
  4. Tap each face to include them in the Live Albums.
  5. Once finished, tap Confirm.

Apologies, I’ve tried replying to your emails but apparently that didn’t work. I have fixed the problem with your advice! I tried the difficult solutions first when the answer was simple - I was using two different logins and never realized I had multiple accounts across Google photos and Google home. Thanks!
