Google Nest Microphone

Google Nest keeps saying 'By the way the mic's not working'. I've switched on and off the orange slider switch on back but still not working. There are 4 solid orangey red lights on Nest. I've done reset and nothing. 

Not recognising 'Hey Google' either.

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that the mute button is not working on your Google Nest audio. Don't worry, I'm here to help.

For your concern, please try the below steps:

• On the back of your device, switch the mic off. The lights will turn orange.
• Press and hold the center of the Nest Audio, near the top. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process.
• Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more, until a sound confirms that the device is resetting.

• If you’re having trouble factory resetting a Nest Audio, go to Issues when you reset your Google speaker.

I also have the exact same issue and the factory reset didn't solve it. Removing my google nest from google home app didnt solve it either.
