Google Nest Mini Dropping of Home

Dave81
Community Member

Nest Mini drops wifi either 2.4Ghz or 5GHz after a few days.  I have trouble shot the hell out of this, factory reset, changed wifi channels, and router settings as per in these forums. I can get it to connect and stay online, but after 3 - 5 it randomly drops off. When I try to discover or reconnect it takes ages. I have moved it to various locations in the house to see if router issue, including putting it next to router. Same thing happens. Anyone got any good ideas?

Hi Dave81,

Thanks for visiting the Google Nest Community. Looks like you already tried most of the troubleshooting steps we have. Try these next steps:

  • Change the DNS address of your router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
  • Reboot your router, unplug it for 2 minutes > Plug back in.
  • Once the router is up, reboot your Google Nest Mini. Unplug it for a minute > Plug back in.

Let me know how it goes.

Kind regards,
Alex
