Google Nest Mini - Reminders Not Working

Hi, I have a 2nd gen nest mini. Whenever I try and set a reminder it reminds me by sending me a push notification on my iPhone and not by verbally saying it. The nest mini doesn’t even light up the one circle as it is meant to. 

I have been reading a lot of forums and I have watched YouTube clips and apparently it can verbally say your reminders. Is there a way to fix this? I have done a reset twice. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I appreciate all the details you've shared as well as the steps you tried. Have you already tried to re-train your voice after you have experienced that? You may remove the voice match on your device and as soon as you're done removing it, re-train your voice it to see if this would make any changes.

For a home in the Google Home app

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. Tap Home Settings Google Assistant Voice Match Other devices.
   • If you have more than one home, tap the home you want to remove Voice Match from.
3. Tap Remove Voice Match from the home Remove.

For a speaker or display

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. Tap Home Settings Google Assistant Voice Match Other devices.
3. Uncheck the box next to the device you want to turn off Voice Match for follow the steps.

Remove your Voice Match and Face Match enrollment recordings

1. On your mobile device, go to My activity.
2. Tap Menu Other Google activity.
3. Scroll down to “Voice and Face Match enrollment,” and tap View data.
4. Tap Delete all enrollments Delete.

Hey SofieS,

Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. Please toggle on/of the "Personal Results" and notifications on the Google Home app to see if you'll still have issues getting notification for reminders.

Toggle Personal Results:

1. Open the Google Home app.
2. At the bottom, tap Home > Settings Settings.
3. Under “Features,” tap Google Assistant > Personal results.
4. Tap the name of your device.
   • To turn on personal results: Check the box next to the device name.
   • To turn off personal results: Uncheck the box next to the device name.

Toggle notification for Nest Mini:

1. Open the Google Home app.
2. At the top right, tap the account icon.
3. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to the Google Home or Google Nest device. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
4. Go back to home view.
5. Tap the device card of the preferred speaker.
6. At the top right, tap Settings (gear icon) > Notifications and digital wellbeing.
7. Tap the slider On to toggle notifications on or off.
