I got my Google Nest Mini when I upgraded my phone and it was amazing. I loved it! But now it's literally a piece of trash. I can't get it to respond to simple commands such as "Hey Google, restart episode" (I have it connected with my Chromecast) and it'll just respond with "I don't understand" and over half of the time it when it actually does think that it understands my command it's just proving that it's a piece of trash i.e. "hey Google, skip 2 minutes" it'll respond with "okay I set am alarm for 6 o clock" 

I want a refund or I want a different, better device. This is ridiculous. If this is the kind of product Google is making now. I will never use another Google product.

Thanks for your post. Wow, that is definitely a frustrating issue! I am sorry to hear that you are encountering an issue with your Google Assistant. Let's look into this issue and try to find a solution. First, I have some quick questions!

  • Is your device showing up as connected on the Google Home App?
  • Have you tried restarting your device?
  • If that does not work, could you try to Factory Data Reset your device?
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings.
      Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.
