Google Nest Speaker Group only playing from one speaker

agnes_os

Hi, I’ve had 2 Google Nest Audio speakers for the past 4 years, they’ve been paired to play together in my living room. Recently I noticed that only one speaker plays from the group, I tried everything, from removing both speakers and creating a new pair, resetting them completely and creating a new pair, nothing seems to work, they separately will play music but together only one speaker plays music.

App version 3.25.101

can someone help me resolve this? Thanks

Hi agnes_os,

Thank you for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that recently one of your Google Nest Audio speakers isn’t playing music into the speakers group that you paired to play together in your living room as it has been doing during the past 4 years. Thank you for sharing with us important information such as the Nest Audio speaker that is failing in the speakers group works alone and the troubleshooting steps you’ve performed to make your Google Nest Speaker group work together, so it allows me to provide you with better assistance.

Before we get started with further troubleshooting, let me ask you some important questions:

Have you tried to remove and reinstall the Google Home app?

What is the distance between your Google devices and the router?

Did you receive any error messages in the Google Home app or from your Google devices?

Are your Google devices currently linked to a 2.4 or 5 GHz WiFi network?

Is there another Bluetooth signal available?

Could you please check if there are wireless interferences like walls and floors, nearby Wi-Fi networks, other electronics, cordless phones, baby monitors, microwaves, Bluetooth devices, and wireless video equipment?

Are you using a WiFi network or a hotspot?

Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to your answer.

Sincerely,

Virna

Hi, thank you so much for getting back to me. Reinstalling the app, pairing the speakers with the app and then creating group and pairing the speakers again with each other has fixed the issue.

Thank you!
