Bought 3 nest hubs 2nd gen and they all have the dame problem.

I want to show my photo gallery and when I choose the option it works but when the screen goes in to sleep mode and wakes up again it wil allways show the art gallery.

When I go to the settings my gallery is selected.

Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your 3 Nest Hubs changing your slideshow from your gallery to the Art gallery. I'm happy to assist you right now.

I recommend checking photo frame settings in the Google Home app; please follow the steps below.

  1. Verify if Google Photos is enabled.
  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Select the device from Home View.
  • Select the Nest display.
  • • At the top right, tap Settings Photo frame.
  • Choose the preferred photo source:
    • Google Photos
    • Art gallery
    • Full-screen clock
  1. Verify the number of selected photos
  • In order to prevent image retention on the display, if your album only has one photo, then the Google Nest Hub will automatically mix in some art as well.

The Google Nest Hub automatically removes photos that it can’t display; the best way to address this is to add more photos.

Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.

Regards,

Gabriela

Apparently the problem was that I had too few photos. But I had 6 photos. Now that I have 57 the problem is solved. Can you give the correct number that is minimally needed?

Hi ,

Thank you so much for keeping me updated. I'm glad to hear your problem was resolved. I understand you want to know what is the minimum needed for a slideshow. I'm happy to continue assisting you right now.

In order to prevent image retention on the display, I recommend having an album with a minimum of 20 pictures and a maximum of 100.

Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.

Regards,

Gabriela
