Hi everyone,
I have multiple Nest mini and Nest hub speakers in different rooms in the house (Kitchen, Office, Bedroom, Living Room etc...). Each are part of the same household and have rooms assigned on the Google Home app.
I used to be able to use a voice command "Play music on the [Room] speaker", and music would play on that speaker, regardless of where I am in the house. Now, that voice command does not work (It just start a random playlist, if I'm asking "Play music in the kitchen", it'll be a kitchen related playlist) and I have to either be in the same room as the speaker or use my phone to manually cast audio.
I'm french so everything I said earlier is for French (FR-fr) language but even if I try this in English it doesn't work and the result is the same.
Has anybody else experienced a similar issue and able to offer any help with this? I've tried resetting all devices and reconnecting to WiFi but it didn't work at all.
Hope you can help me solve this issue.
Thanks in advance

It works for us if we specify the name of the Nest Hub (not using the "Room" as part of the command). We have just 3 general categories for "Rooms" (which we use only to group devices on screens, and never use in commands) and unique names for each Nest Hub.
The impression I get from other posts is that Google Nest does not seem to handle references to a "Room" very well in Google Assistant commands.

Thanks for the answer.
I forgot to mention that I obviously tried to do that and it doesn't for me (French and English)
In English it doesn't work maybe because my devices have French names and Google doesn't understand the mix of English and French.
I remind you that this worked perfectly fine before and I think is related to the Gemini / latest update of Google Assistant, at least in French.
It's not the first time that Google Assistant behavior change and that some features stop to work suddenly.
Hope someone from Google can help me or at least warn the dev teams.
Don't hesitate if you need logs or additional informations, I'm a developer myself, if this can help 😉

I don't have any further suggestions. Other posts in this forum seem to indicate that changes keep happening to Google Assistant's behavior that causes some features to no longer work.

"This issue with Google Nest speakers is frustrating, especially when you're trying to enjoy music seamlessly across your devices. Checking for updates in the Google Home app or ensuring the speaker grouping is set up correctly might help . It would be great if Google addressed this promptly with a fix. Looking forward to hearing if anyone has found a workaround!"
