My Google Nest was telling me to log in on the Google Home App and I was. I tried to factory reset my device and when I try to set up the Google Assistant, I get an Error Code - kGSKErrorDomain error-83001. I looked to make sure my phone was set to English and the region is United States which is all correct. Please help!

I'm not sure if this would apply to you, but there was a recent change with my Gmail account which was a work email. I used it to set up my Nest. This summer, my email was moved over to "Workspace" and was being managed by my employer. I guess due to the restrictions on that email account, my Nest stopped working with that account. I just created a new Gmail account separate from my work email and I was able to set up my Nest by using this new email. Hope this helps!

I know how challenging it can be, to not have a working device when needed. We'd love to help. A few questions: is this a first-time setup? What country are you located in? What type of account are you using (Personal or Business)? Have you tried to use a different phone/tablet? Have you tried setting up the device on a different network?
