Google Nest doesn't work.
The central touch key to reset it to factory settings doesn't recognize fingers.

Did you switch the microphone off first, before holding down the centre key?

Hi @zsayri,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that the central touch key on your Google Nest speaker is not recognizing finger input for the factory reset process. I'm happy to help.

Depending on your device model, you must follow the correct process to factory reset it. For a Google Nest Mini (2nd gen), the steps are as follows:

  1. On the side of your device, switch the mic off. The lights will turn orange.
  2. Press and hold the centre of the Nest Mini, where the lights are on top. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process.
  3. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more, until a sound confirms that the device is resetting.

If you're having trouble factory resetting a Nest Audio, go to Issues when you reset your Google speaker.

@RMuser, thank you for your advice. Switching the microphone off first is crucial to the process.
Please keep me posted.

Regards,
Anders
