Amazon music is linked and set as the default buy says that Amazon music must be linked first.

Whenever I ask google to play something on Amazon music, it says that Amazon music account must be linked first. It already is linked, what is the problem?

I've already unlinked and linked it twice now but it still won't work. Any help is appreciated.

Hi @paulnamor,

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I'm sorry to hear that when you request the Google Assistant to play something on Amazon Music, it states that Amazon Music must be linked first, even though it is already set as the default music service. I'd be happy to help with this!

I appreciate you taking the time to unlink and relink the music service account twice. To better assist you, I'd like to ask the following:

  • What is the specific model of your Google Home device? Here’s a helpful article about how to identify the model of your device.
  • Is this the first time you're trying to link Amazon Music?
  • Have you experienced the same inconvenience with other music services?
  • Do you have an Amazon Music subscription?
  • In which country are you located? This helps to isolate the issue with unsupported countries for Amazon Music.

In the meantime, please ensure you have the latest version of the Google Home app and that your mobile device software is up to date. Also, check if your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your Google Home device. For more information, refer to this article: Link your music services and set your default service.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
