Hi all. When promting Hi Google, nest displays to me unknown user name as greeting:

"Hello Super dikke Henk"

Instead of my account name.

I have reset Hub multiple times but to no avail.

Any tip is welcome

Hello @Superandrea,

Thank you for posting in the community! I understand that you are running into a situation where your Google Nest display is greeting you with an incorrect and unknown user name, "Hello Super dikke Henk," instead of your own account name, even after you have performed multiple resets.

Since we cannot find this name in the general nickname settings, it is possible that the Assistant incorrectly learned this specific phrase as an alternative pronunciation or nickname for you, or it is associated with an older setting on your account. Using the steps below will let you override or correct this misheard name.

Here is a step-by-step guide based on the information you provided to force the correction of your personal greeting:

Correcting Your Nickname and Pronunciation

Please follow these steps in the Google Home app to ensure the Assistant only uses your correct account name:

  1. Open the Google Home app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap your account (your profile picture or initial) in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Assistant settings and open the menu.
  4. Tap Nickname and then edit the name.

Please try these steps, and then test your device by saying, "Hey Google," to see if the greeting is fixed. Let me know the results!

Regards,

Kevin
