I've been using 3 Nest devices in my home for over a year, no issues whatsoever. A few days ago for no apparent reason they all stopped working. I've done everything, including a factory reset and they all connect to the Wi-Fi with no issues, until the devices attempt to connect to the internet, and then it all fails, unable to load, something went wrong etc. I have other smart devices (thermostat, camera & tv), not Google products, all connected with no issues whatsoever.
My suspicion is that somehow my public IP is blocked by Google, as I recently visited Iran (sanctioned country) and was using a VPN which utilised my home public IP in the UK via my router/firewall.
Just wondered if anyone else had come across a similar issue and whether a solution is available, short of requesting a new IP from my ISP in the UK.
Thanks. Yas

Hi Yjafari,
Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us.
I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. A few things: what is the exact message that you are getting from your Google Home app? What is the make and model of the phone that you are using for your Google Home app?
You can use another phone to set up your Nest speakers to further isolate.
Keep me posted.
Thanks,
Juni
