Google Nest keeps disconnecting from WiFi

Dear Google Support,

I am contacting you regarding a persistent issue with my Google Nest device, which frequently disconnects from my wifi network. This problem started approximately a year ago. The device sometimes disconnects within a day, and at other times it can take up to three days before disconnecting again. None of my other devices experience these connectivity issues.

I am not sure of the exact model of the Google Nest or its software version as I currently do not have that information. However, the issue persists even when the device is placed close to the router, including directly inside the meter cabinet, suggesting it is not related to physical distance or obstacles. I have also performed a factory reset on the device, which unfortunately did not resolve the issue.

Additional details:

  • My wifi network is a hybrid 2.4 or 5 GHz setup.
  • There have been no recent changes to my router or its settings.
  • I have attempted to resolve this issue by relocating the Nest within my home, which did not help.

Could you please assist me in diagnosing and resolving this issue? Are there specific router settings I should check or adjust? Could there be a known issue with recent updates that might be causing this problem? Additionally, what are the recommended steps for further troubleshooting or possibly replacing the device if it is found to be defective?
