Google Nest not playing radio on TuneIn

KB10

Hoping someone can advise...I have a google nest and have been playing radio stations from tunein (local ones as I'm based in Ireland) for a few years with no issues. Recently when I ask google to play a station on tunein it says "I can't do that here but I can play it on one of your other devices"....I've checked my settings and from what I can see everything is set up as it should be. Checked with a neighbour and theirs works fine. I've rebooted, done a factory reset etc but no fix. Appreciate if anything experts here have any advice. I know I can cast the radio stations from my phone but its so much easier to use voice commands

Hi Kb10,

Thank you so much for posting in this community. I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to play the radio on your Nest device. I'm happy to help you!

At the moment, i need to ask a few questions to give the correct troubleshooting below:

  • What kind of Nest speaker or Nest Hub do you have?
  • When did the inconvenience start?
  • Did you check if you have the last update for the Google home app and your cell phone?
  • Which voice commands are you using?

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Rusell.

Thanks Rusell,

It's a Google nest hub. There is no way for me to verify the latest software, my understanding if that it should update automatically. I can't recall the exact date but it was a few weeks ago. It happened a few months ago and after a few weeks the issue resolved itself.

I'm just using standard voice commands....hey Google play 2fm on tune in.....it has started responding saying....I can't do that here but I can on your other devices...
