Google Nest won't display location and date taken for photos

I'm using the photo frame feature on a new Google Nest Max. I would like the Nest Hub to show the location the picture was taken as well as the date it was taken. But the only thing showing in the corner is the album name. 

I've enabled showing data from personal photos in the hub options on it. 

I've tried showing photos from other Google Photo albums, but same problem. Even though Share Photo Location is enabled. Still just showing the album name. No location or date taken.

I am waiting for this option since 2020 when it was announced. I really erally hope this will be there soon finally!

Hi folks,

 

@JobeyMcGinty, @StefSegers, I understand your concern and let me give you a helpful option when using Google Photos. When you open your Home app, tap your Nest display and go to settings(gear icon) on the upper right corner. Select the photo frame then Google Photos and scroll down to personal photo data. Set personal photo data to show or hide.

 

The above only applies to the photo gallery feature. But if it’s about using the art gallery or even the experimental option, the feature is not yet available.

Thanks Dan for your reply. I have seem youtube video's but for some reason these options are not available on my app. I live in The Netherlands, maybe this is giving a restriction.

 

In the Home app the Personal Photo Data is enabled of course.

I totally understand that these are good features to use with your Nest display, but, these features are not yet available. Apologies! If the options aren't available yet, these are country specific. I'd suggest you submit feedback about it, here's how. Let us know if you have other questions and concerns otherwise, we will be locking this thread after 24 hours.
