My google nest only worked for 1 weekend - now it just says "there was a glitch - try again in a few seconds" - thats all I get now ?????

Thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to hear that your Google Nest device is not responding to your voice commands. That is not a great start! I understand your concern and would be more than happy to help find a solution. First, I have some quick questions.

  • Which Google Nest device do you have? (model name, generation number)
  • Is your device connected to the same WiFi network as your other devices?
  • Is your device showing up as connected on the Google Home App?
  • Could you please try to do a reboot and Factory Data Reset on your device? Are there any improvements? 
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings. 
    • Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.
