I have just enabled Ipv6 on my router. (not a Google device) I can see where my phones, Rokus, computers, and Amazon echo devices are receiving IPv6 addresses from my router. However, even doing a hard reset and setup, Google displays and speakers aren't pulling IPv6 addresses, which in this day and age seems a little strange.... especially since the Google home app works with Matter, (Matter uses non routable IPv6 addressing)....
Am I missing something ?

Hi @Patrick8,
You're right, it is strange that your Google devices aren't picking up IPv6 addresses even though you've enabled it on your router and other devices are working fine. There could be a couple of reasons for this:
Device Compatibility: Not all Google devices currently support IPv6. While Google Home works with Matter, which uses non-routable IPv6 addressing, individual device support might vary. Check if your specific Google display and speaker models are listed as compatible with IPv6. You can find this information on the Google Nest Help website or by contacting Google support.
Router Configuration: Double-check your router's IPv6 settings. Some routers might have separate options for enabling IPv6 or specific types of IPv6 addressing. Ensure your router is set up for SLAAC (Stateless Address Auto-Configuration), which is the most common way for devices to automatically obtain IPv6 addresses.
Temporary Glitch: Even after a hard reset, there's a slight chance that the initial setup process might not have properly picked up the IPv6 settings. Try setting up your Google devices again from scratch.
Here are some resources that might be helpful:
If none of these solutions work, it might be best to contact our Google support directly for further assistance. They can help diagnose the issue and see if there are any known compatibility problems or troubleshooting steps specific to your devices.
Regards,
Brandon.
