I have the same issue from about the same date. I have tried hard resetting and it can be found but it will not connect to the wifi during set up.

Hi folks,

@Sam2819, @MrVincentRyan, this is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with so that we would know what that orange little dot signifies? Usually it signifies that it's in mute. When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? What’s the name of your ISP and router/modem?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

If the issue persists, do a factory reset to revert your device back to its default and original settings.

Also, to eliminate network issues, please try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Google Home/Nest devices). Once done, check if your device will have the same behavior.

After connecting to another phone's hotspot, you can transfer the connection to your Wi-Fi, preferably under the 2.4 GHz frequency. Here's how:

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top-right corner, tap Settings > Device information.
  4. Next to 'Wi-Fi', tap Forget. You’ll be taken back to the Home app home screen.
  5. Follow the setup steps to set up your device on the new Wi-Fi network.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Dan
