I think Google Nest Support really needs to address this error:
"The operation couldn't be completed. (kGSKError Domain error -83902.)”
At a minimum, Google Nest should change the text of the message from technical gibberish to something meaningful.
There is a continuous stream of posts in this forum from customers encountering this error, going back to 2021.
A few customers seem to have success by setting the default language in their phone to the same value used on their Google Account, as in this customer reply:
" ended up resolving this by changing the default language in my apple iphone 12 iOS version 17.2 to English US (from English AU) as well as changing my Google account to English US and my assistant settings to Google US."
Other customers report success by using an Android phone instead of an iPhone for the setup:
One Google Nest Community Specialist says the error "usually....appears when you use a Google Workspace account":
One customer, @David_K , a Platinum Product Expert, posted a series of troubleshooting steps in this thread:

Many many thanks for this - I have exalted google nest since 2020 to EVERYONE I know and purchased 30+ for my home, family and friends. Friend who moved into a housesitting home yesterday has this problem.
it’s worked in several homes but not the current one. Kept trying factory reset etc - couldn’t get it connected and as a result he has missed a highly important overseas zoom call during the night.
He failed to wake to his phone alarm as too low in volume and he post covid just last week and exhausted.
He uses google nest for alarms as it’s loud. This has caused immense embarrassment and damage to his reputation as a consequence .
Really bad google have know this problem for years.
I’ve been googling to try find resolution and your reply is the first I found with a list of possible solutions.
Many many thanks to you for your kindness in posting this 🙏.
p.s. I’ve sent him this link and fingers crossed 🤞 something works.
I will let you know if it does and what worked.

The problem has never happened to us. I've just been watching a steady stream of these reports for a long time now, and am amazed Google Nest has still not provided a definitive solution.
