Google home (first gen pineapple) keeps disconnecting from internet

My home has about a dozen different google devices (chromecast, several speakers, doorbell, nest hub).    all work flawlessly - except one google home speaker that keeps disconnecting and does not reconnect without a reset.    It will work for several days, but then it will say something like "hold on while I get connected" or some other message saying it no longer has internet connection.     I've tried moving it, I've tried resetting it - and I get the same result.   It typically works for a while  - either a few days, and sometimes even a few weeks - but then it starts disconnecting again.

Any ideas ?  I think its a great speaker and don't want to give up on it.

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your Google Home concern. You can factory reset; this erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again. Check out the article below to know more about it.

Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays

Thank you! Unfortunately a factory reset has only succeeded in making the problem go away for a week or two, but then comes back.   Any other ideas are welcome.

Want to confirm that switching to a 5Ghz connection has appeared to work.
