Security Breach & Unauthorized Access on Nest Hub
To the Google Nest Support Team,
I am writing to report a critical and ongoing security breach on my Google Nest Hub (2nd gen, Chalk,
My device is being accessed by an unauthorized individual. I am repeatedly seeing a moving image or video feed of a person blacked out in a hoodie sitting at a desk. Because the image moves, I know it is not just a photograph. This is extremely frightening for me and my family.
Just before this image appears, my Hub will either stop responding to my voice commands or will make the activation sounds as if I had said "Hey Google," suggesting it is being controlled remotely. My other Nest devices in the house also begin to malfunction at the same time, showing only a black screen.
This is a major privacy violation, and I have already taken extensive steps to try and secure my account and devices, including:
* Performing multiple hard factory resets on the device.
* Deleting the Hub from my Google Home and Nest accounts.
* Changing my Google account password.
* Reviewing all approved devices connected to my Google account.
* Ensuring my account is secured with a Titan Security Key.
Despite all these measures, the unauthorized access continues. I need your team to launch an immediate investigation into how my device and account are being compromised. Please provide me with steps to permanently stop this and secure my home.
Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter.
