Google home max won't connect to wifi

One day I asked Google to play music on this speaker and it said that it wasn't available. I looked into it too fine that it wasn't connected to the internet. Fast forward a bit and I removed it from my home and factory reset it. When I go to add it back it gets to the point in setup where I need to connect to the internet. I input valid credentials to my wifi and it will not connect. I need help getting this to work otherwise I've got an expensive paperweight.

Hi aandrheck,

Thanks for posting. I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should, let’s get this resolved.

A few things: Is the distance between your Home Max and your WiFi at least within 15 feet during setup? Did you try to use another phone to set up your Home Max? To further isolate the issue try to use a mobile hotspot as a source of network and see if it will make a difference

Notes: To complete the setup for your Home Max with the use of a mobile hotspot, you need to have 2 devices. One to behave as the router (one with the hotspot enabled) and the other as the setup device.

Keep me in the loop.

Best,

Juni
