Google home mini just stopped working and won't start up

My Google home mini just stopped working and won't even start up. Tried unplugging power and plugging it back in multiple times, it just won't start. When I press the reset button at the bottom of the device, a green light would light up on top, but that's the only thing it does. Holding the reset button for more than 15 secs does not do anything to it. I have 2 other google home mini in the house that are working fine except for this one.

Thanks for reaching out. Oh no! I am sorry to hear that your Google Nest Mini is not turning on. I understand your concern and would be more than happy to help find a solution.


First, could you try this troubleshooting step?

  1. At the side of the Google Nest Mini, unplug the power cord and wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in and wait until the four LED lights light up on top.
  2. Repeat step one, 10 more times. (complete total of 11 times)
  3. After plugging in the power cord back in the final time, wait a few moments for the device to reset. It will announce "Welcome to Google Home" to signify that it's ready for setup.

Also to add, even at the first step, no "four" leds light up at all. I still proceeded to do steps 2 and 3 and in the end it just does nothing...
