Google home mini keeps disconnecting bluetooth or cast

Hi,

I am too late to report this, I have a google home mini which keeps disconnecting from bluetooth / wifi cast while playing music through any app (spotify/ youtube etc). It has latest firmware. Even asking google assistant to play music itself without any phone connection also makes it keep restarting. 

it has a very stable wifi network. 

Google please suggest what can I do? It behaves like this from the start, bought it years back and kept facing the same issue, did not realize I should have reported it. 

Hoping to hear back  a solution.

Thanks for reaching out. I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should; let me help. A few questions: were there any recent changes made before it started? What is its distance from your Wi-Fi router? Are you still using the original power cord? Also, what steps have you taken so far?

Thanks for your response Juni. Answers below: - 

1. No recent changes, it has this problem from the very start when I bought it, I was too lazy to report it.

2. It sits right next to the wifi router, like I explained neither bluetooth nor casting nor asking google to play itself make it run stably, every 5-10minutes it crashes and restarts. It not useable at all. 
3. Yes I use the original power cable. 
4. Not sure what to try as it runs latest firmware.

Hi there,

 

Understood. Try the factory reset. This erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again.

Thanks Juni for your response. I have tried this multiple times, it does not make a difference at all. Do you have any other suggestion? Anyone from google support side in this community, please advice.

Thanks for your effort on trying those steps. How far is your speaker from the phone you're using? Have you already tried using a different phone to compare if you will also get the same results?

Thnaks Princess for your response. I have tried with different wifi and different places, all times the device sits very close to the wifi still keep crasshing.
