Google home mini shopping list

My Google home mini has suddenly stopped being able to add items to my shopping list. It either tells me it can't do this, or can't find my shopping list. I definitely still have the same one on my Pixel phone. How do I get my home mini to once again start adding items to my shopping list? Thanks.
