I have two minis.
One day one of them didn't respond at all.
I rebooted again.
I also tried factory reset.
Mini still didn't respond.
(The booting process was different from usual)
I searched the internet.
Google Home Mini crashes for no reason when updating.
There are many reports in Korea.
It has been exchanged for many people!!
I'm not a software engineer, so I don't know...
Because it can't be solved by software,
I guess they made an exchange?
I tried to contact Google Nest.
"Can you help me solve this problem?"
I told Google Nest clearly.
"I don't really want to exchange"
"Tell me how I can keep using this."
"Who is to blame for the sudden breakdown of Mini alone one day?"
Google Nest's answer was always the same.
"This product is out of warranty and is not eligible for exchange."
ha ha ha...
In Korea, this is called 'DONG MUN SEO DAB'.
"I asked about the East, and he answers about the West."
Funny thing is...
The warranty has passed, but there are many people in our country who have received an exchange with the same symptoms.
What's even funnier is...
The broken mini is still registered in the Google Home app on my phone.
volume is adjustable.
It can even transmit voice.
If you play IU's song on YouTube and send it to the broken mini, the song comes out.
the problem is..
That means you can't give mini a voice command. that he doesn't answer It can only be done by phone.
Hahahahahahaha…… Stupid and stupid mini...
Does Google Nest have the will to solve this?
I don't think so.
Then they wouldn't react so irresponsibly.
for me now
There is one Google Home Mini and two Google Nest Hubs.
I'm thinking of breaking it all down with a hammer.
Should I continue to use the products of this garbage company?
I'm thinking right now.
I don't really like Tim Cook. So not even Apple
But I think it's better than Google. I'm serious.

Hey Sung,
Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. I know how difficult it is when you're experiencing issues updating your Google Home device. To eliminate network issues, please try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Google Home device). Let's see if your speaker will finish the update when connected to a different network.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi
