Google home stopped sleeping lights

I have a Google Nest linked to the Phillips Hue lighting system including the Phillips Hue Bridge.

I use to say Google sleep all lights and it would slowly fade the lights down from their current setting to fully off.

Now it turns the lights to full white brightness lighting up the room more, before then fading them down.

How can I stop it increasing the brightness first and just sleeping the lights from their current brightness like it use to do?

Hi sadamson,

Thank you for posting here in the community. I'm really sorry that the routine didn't work as it was supposed to. This could be frustrating, especially if it shows a very high brightness, which is also annoying. help's here.

Just to be sure, did you try to remove the routine and create it again?

If you didn't, please try to set up and manage routines. Also, if this didn't work, try to test one of the Phillips Hue lights. Please remove it from your Google Home App, re-add it again, and try to test it.

Let me know if you need more assistance.

Regards,

Byron

Hi

I've tried resetting the bulbs. I've set up a new routine which I like and works when I click on it on the app. However when I say sleep bedroom lights, the built in Google one with the fault overrides this and turns the lights full brightness. How can I remove the built in Google one so I can use my own one

Hi sadamson,

Thank you for posting. I'm really sorry that you still have the issue with the Phillip Light bulb. I understand how frustrating it is when you can't remove the Google built-in. But not to worry, let me check other options.

All the Phillips light bulbs came with the built-in Google setting by default; in order to control them, they must be managed and routines created to turn them off and on.

So, we need to investigate your issue and do a deep dive into your concern. Please fill out this form, and our specialist team will reach out to you via email for further assistance.

Let me know once you're done.

Regards,

Byron
