We had our nest microphone muted (due to work from home, data security) and used voice commands on our android phones through Google Home to play radio. (Play Absolute Radio on living room speaker). The assistant just responds with "Sorry I don't understand".
With mic on "hey google, play Absolute radio" works fine.

I've been having this problem as well. Sometimes it works, although it's always asking to verify if you meant to play radio, and sometime like yourself, it just doesn't understand at all! Google have clearly changed something for the worse here. There are other posts on this forum with similar problems.

This is also affects speaker groups. I used to say "play music on downstairs speakers" or "play LBC on downstairs speakers" and the command refused to execute.
Having said that, it seems to be working at the moment.

Mine has started asking me to confirm if I want to play the radio. It's a really annoying, unnecessary step.

Hi folks,
@SuMa, thanks for helping.
@JenEvans, @LeeCotton, @carguy143, @carguy143, this is not the experience we wanted you to have, let us help you. A few things: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? Is it happening on individual devices only or also with the speaker group? Other than radio, what other music services is affected?
It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:
Once done, change the speaker or speaker group name. Follow the steps below:
Keep us posted.
Best,
Dan
