Google hub not responding the first time

This issue has been addressed many times, but no official fix has been given.

I have an issue where when I ask my google home hub to do anything, it doesn't pick up the command first time, it will reply 'sorry, something has gone wrong, please try again in a few seconds'. Then if I ask again it works. Here's what I've tried:

Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router.

Check router settings. (AP isolation must be disabled and UPnP must be enabled).

Reboot your devices and router for a minute to refresh the connection.

Try resetting your Google Home Mini and Google Nest Hub.

None of it has worked.

My Nest mini version is 1.56.306594

Okay so I'm not sure why they didn't just post this on here, but here's what they had me do (it worked for me).

  • Uninstall Google Home app
  • Factory reset Google Nest Mini
  • Reinstall Google Home app
  • Sign-in a different Gmail account
  • Setup Google Nest Mini as usual

Hey folks,

I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you , let's check this out.

When did it start happening? Is it happening to all our Google Nest speakers? Also, could you provide us the cast firmware and software version of your Google Nest Hub?

Best,

Alex

It's been happening for months. I'm just finally to the point of being fed up enough to ask about it. Yeah it's just my nest speaker.

System firmware version: 306594

Cast firmware: 1.56.306594
